Shakespears Sister - Goodbye Cruel World (Original Version)

The irony in Goodbye Cruel World is that it was the last song that was recorded *and* under pressure but was the first song to be released as a single not once but twice since London were so convinced of it's success. And so, in September 1991, the first single from Hormonally Yours was released. To promote the single, the band began a mini-tour of the UK however, despite a positive reaction the single failed to enter the Top 50. Radio 1 refused to play the single and the band were not invited to perform it on Top Of The Pops.
  1. Goodbye Cruel Worl (Original version)
  2. Black Sky (The Black Widow Mix)
  3. You're History

  2. You're History (Maximised version)
  3. You're History (Voodoo Remix)

Shakespears Sister - Dirty Mind

Despite being remixed into a 1990 version (considering the song had been recorded two years earlier) - completely different from the album version - it failed to enter the top 60.

Dirty Mind (1990 Version)
Dirty Mind (1990 Extended Version)
Dirty Mind (E-Zee Remix)

Shakespears Sister - Run Silent

Encouraged by the success of "You're History","Run Silent" was released as the next single from Shakespear's Sister's debut album Sacred Heart. However, despite some promotion, the single failed to have any impact on the UK charts (No. 54).

  1. Run Silent, Run Deep (album version)
  2. Run Silent (7" Mix)

Another of my fave 80's movies, the soundtrack has the movie effects for some reason but I think it's the real one. The Sylvester Levay tracks are the instrumentals to the movie.

In My Wildest Dreams - Belinda Carlisle
Do You Dream About Me? - Alisha
My Girl - Temptations

Movin' On Up - Sylvester Levay
Harley Ride - Sylvester Levay
